About SOLARIDE
SOLARIDE is North India's trusted partner for premium rooftop solar — from panel sales and system design to installation, subsidy and net metering. Here's the story behind us.
Born from a 4,000 KM Clean Energy Journey
In 2024, our founder Pankaj Kumar cycled solo across India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The mission was to spread environmental consciousness and witness India's local power needs firsthand. That same passion is what built SOLARIDE.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about going solar in North India.
A residential system costs roughly ₹55,000–₹65,000 per kW before subsidy. A 3 kW home system is about ₹1.8–2 lakh; after the PM Surya Ghar subsidy your net cost is significantly lower. We give an exact quote after a free site survey.
Under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, residential rooftop systems receive a central subsidy of ₹30,000/kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000/kW for the 3rd kW — capped at ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW and above. We handle the entire subsidy application for you.
Net metering lets you export surplus solar power to the grid and offset it against what you draw at night. We manage the approvals with your DISCOM — PSPCL (Punjab), DHBVN/UHBVN (Haryana) or JVVNL/JdVVNL (Rajasthan).
Most customers cut 90–98% of their electricity bill. A well-sized system typically pays for itself in 4–6 years and then generates nearly free power for the remaining 20+ years. Try our Solar Savings Calculator for an estimate.
About 100 sq ft of shadow-free roof per 1 kW. A 3 kW system needs roughly 300 sq ft. Our calculator sizes the system from your bill and available roof area.
Solar panels carry a 25-year performance warranty; inverters typically 5–10 years (extendable). A well-installed system commonly lasts 25–30 years.
After the site survey and paperwork, physical installation usually takes 3–7 days depending on system size. Net-metering approval timelines vary by DISCOM.
Very little — occasional cleaning of the panels and a periodic check of connections. We offer maintenance support and remote generation monitoring.
Yes. We design residential rooftop, commercial/industrial (C&I), and agricultural solar systems — including solar pumps — across North India.
We serve North India from offices in Mohali (Punjab) and Hisar (Haryana), covering Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan.
